Stevie and Scott are gems. They are both changing the world as doctors and are two of the kindest, most down-to-earth people that you’ll ever meet. They were married at The Cotton Room in Durham and had such a lovely celebration. My favorite moments:
// Stevie spent the morning with her bridesmaids getting ready at the 21c Museum Hotel. I loved the modern decor, and the exhibit was incredibly interesting (as you can see in some of the photos). It was fun to play off of the art and have their first look at the hotel.
// Scott played “Old Pine” while Stevie walked down the aisle. It was magical to watch the music crescendo as they smiled at each other from either end of the aisle.
// Their dance party was incredible! I think every guest made it on the dance floor at some point, and the party did not let up until it was time to go home. One of the groomsmen even ripped his pants from busting a move. Hilarious.
// One of the last songs was “Wagon Wheel,” and every guest hugged and made a big circle around Stevie + Scott while they danced in the center. Everyone one was singing and dancing. It was one of those perfect moments that naturally transpired.
S+S worked with the most fabulous vendors! I have to shout out to Deedie with Springvine Design. She made the space look fabulous! Also to Eric with All Around Raleigh DJ Company. He threw the best party. Ashley Mooney also did a wonderful job with hair and makeup. Last but not least, Emma has been the best second shooter this spring season! A few of her images are in this post.
Beautiful pictures! Everything was perfect for our son and his bride. Kudos to all who made the #sextonsonfire wedding a forever beautiful memory. We aren’t in the pictures posted, but we did capture some pictures of Scott with his mom & dad and his family with his new bride. The Cotton Room was a good venue to hold a wedding. Fabulous!
