Quoc and Lauren were married at the Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, SC, a city that they were excited to introduce their out-of-town guests to. Lauren and Quoc currently live in Los Angeles and both work as fitness trainers. Quoc is also an incredible wedding photographer, so it was an exceptional honor to be chosen for their wedding day. A few of my favorite moments:
// At one point during the ceremony, almost everyone was in tears! The bridesmaids, parents, siblings… It showed how much everyone cared for Quoc and Lauren. The entire wedding was filled with so much emotion. I loved that everyone wore their hearts on their sleeves.
// Magnolia Plantation has many peacocks that naturally wander the estate. In the morning, I had this wild idea to get Lauren + Quoc in a photo with a peacock, but I really didn’t think it was possible. The birds are not the friendliest and run away if you get close to them. As we were wrapping up photos, a male peacock wandered past us, and we knew we had a chance! It was quite a sight to see me and the videographer chasing this peacock towards Lauren + Quoc. He did open his feathers (probably in defense…oops!), but we managed to get the photo without injuring anyone :)
// I adored the fact that their wedding was authentic and true to them. Her bridesmaids rocked sneakers that Lauren had given them (they both have a thing for shoes), and their main course for dessert was doughnuts! Even though they are fitness trainers, they have a weakness for doughnuts (doesn’t everyone?).
