Cassie + Phil are two of my oldest friends (at least 20 years!), and they were one of my first wedding couples almost 12 years ago. It’s incredibly special to have friends walk with you through many different phases of life, and I’m lucky to have these two people in my world.
They renovated an old cabin near Traverse City into a gem of a rental (check out the listing here!), and it has become a special place for their family to visit. I’ve documented the growth of their family over the years, and it was extra special to include her parents and siblings into these Michigan summer family photos.
We spent the evening swimming, making s’mores, fishing, rocking in the hammock, reading stories with the grandparents, and dancing on the back deck before the kids went to bed. It was the epitome of summer in Michigan.
