Leighann and Tom are kind, gentle souls. I love the way they love each other and their families. Their wedding at the Timberlake Earth Sanctuary was nothing short of extraordinary. My favorite moments:

// Meeting a baby calf (that had been born that morning) and wandering into the forest with the most stunning light. Leighann didn’t tell us until after we had waded through the tall grass (again) that she broke out in hives after our scouting adventure from the same spot! It was totally worth it, and I was grateful that she was willing to get hives all over again for these images.
// Leighann’s grandfather’s face when she surprised him with a special dance for just the two of them. Her father had passed away some years ago, and his father was the one that walked her down the aisle. This 89-year-old grandfather of hers is something special. When I met Leighann + Tom on Skype, they were visiting her grandpa in the hospital after he recovered from a quadruple bypass. Who would have thought that six months later he would be well enough to boogie with her on the dance floor. I was laughing and tearing up at the same time.
Special thanks to Kaitlyn for interning with me this spring! This was her last wedding with me, and I’m so grateful for her help. The image of the guys toasting and the wide ceremony photo are hers.
