HOPE + AARON // FLEETWOOD’S // ASHEVILLE, NC

For most, late December brings holiday gatherings, Christmas cookies, and lots of decorations. For Hope and Aaron, it meant eloping at a bar around the corner with its own coffin and unique decor.

Hope is an incredible artist, and it was fun to collaborate with her on her vision. They only invited their parents to the ceremony, which was held under a space heater in an old garage at Fleetwood’s. Florescent lights hung above with church windows casting a warm pink glow. Old hubcaps and brass angels framed them as they said, “I do.”

They walked back to their beautiful bungalow, passing their chickens in the backyard. Their neighbors and friends joined them for cake and punch while the Christmas tree twinkled in the corner.
