GOSSAN WEDDING
CITY FLATS // GRAND RAPIDS, MI

Rachel and I go way back to middle school days, but I’ve had a wonderful time getting to know her and Phil better through this wedding planning process. They had a cold, rainy wedding day, but they would not let it stop their fun. With the rain dripping down Phil’s coat and the mud soaking into Rachel’s dress, these two ran around Grand Rapids as if it were 80º and sunny. I loved their attitude which helped make it a truly wonderful day. A few favorite moments:

// Rachel + her dad’s first look. They were both emotional–heck–I think the entire room was tearing up after seeing these two hold each other and cry. Such a sweet memory.

// Phil’s dad was unable to come to the wedding due to health reasons. Guests faithfully Skyped him in for the ceremony and toasts. I loved that he was still a part of their day even though he was not physically present.

// Their dance party. This group knows how to celebrate! The bridal party even had the shuttle bus rocking (literally) because they were dancing so hard.

Super special thanks to Kendra for helping me out. She’s a rockstar, and a few of these images are hers. Also want to give credit to Modern Day Floral for creating such beautiful flowers + decor and to Jamie Carnes for the design and coordination.
