Lindsey + Takashi’s wedding was one for the books. They hosted their celebration at one of my favorite venues in town, The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek. I was also excited to work with my favorite “friendors,” Smash Events. They always host the most relaxing, beautiful weddings. Those florals?! Stunning. And, their food?! Don’t even get me started on how delicious it is. Oh, and I could go on and on about how Lindsey + Takashi are also favorites. Their love is inspiring, and they are two of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. The most memorable moments of the day:
// L + T’s personal vows. WOW. They were written eloquently and personally. I looked around and everyone had tears in their eyes (including me). I loved how they each mentioned some of their favorite traits in each other: Lindsey loves how Takashi always walks on the outside of the sidewalk to protect her. Takashi loves that Lindsey wakes up happy everyday. They promised big and small vows, both of which are incredibly important in a marriage.
// Their gifts. Takashi is a crazy talented filmmaker. He filmed a video for Lindsey reflecting on their journey together and playfully integrated it as an episode of Survivor. She crafted a custom vinyl of their favorite songs. Both gifts were sentimental and personal.
// Lindsey’s father recorded himself singing “You Are My Sunshine” and surprised her with it for their dance. Once she realized it was his voice, she couldn’t stop smiling and crying. The moment that transpired was so sweet.
// Lindsey + Takashi live in L.A. and hosted many out-of-town guests. All were treated to delicious southern fare (fried chicken and waffles, BBQ, etc.).
// With tears in his eyes, I watched Takashi mouth, “You are so beautiful” as Lindsey walked down the aisle. It’s an unbelievable privilege to get to witness and document such moments.
