Lisa and Abe planned a Blowing Rock engagement session because it has become a sentimental place for their relationship. Abe’s family shares a cottage in town, and we started our time together exploring their property.

We ventured to Moses Cone Memorial Park and Bass Lake before hiking closer to Grandfather Mountain to catch the sunset.

As we climbed to the summit, rain began to fall. We were surrounded by a nature photography club who had multiple tripods set up to document the evening. As they threw on their ponchos to weather the storm, Abe and Lisa danced in the rain, taking in the changing landscape.

A rainbow appeared, followed by one of the the most extravagant sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. We took in the sky before it faded to the stars.
