I have such fond memories from this engagement session. Andrea and Mike invited me to their family friend’s farm for their Alabama engagement photos. Andrea grew up on this farm, spending countless summers and family vacations on this property. It was a sentimental place to them both, which made their session here all the more special.

I enjoyed spending the weekend with A+M and her family. Andrea and I knew from our first phone call that we would become friends through this experience. I adored our deep chats, and I’m crossing my fingers they eventually move back to NC.

I had a blast exploring the property and trails with Andrea and her mom in the jeep. I would have been desperately lost without them, as the property seems infinite. There were no shortage of incredible places to photograph, but we narrowed it down to a goldenrod field under a huge tree, the river, the pine tree forest, and the fire tower where they like to watch the sunset.

The last photo was taken almost in pitch dark. I was at 16000 ISO, attempting to shoot at 1.4 without making the photo blurry or out of focus. Photographers, you know how difficult this can be. However, it’s one of my favorite frames. The grain and darkness elevate the mood and make it more interesting.

I’m so excited for their Knoxville wedding in November!
