You would think because I work behind the camera for a living that I would be totally nonchalant about getting our engagement photos taken.  Not going to lie, I freaked out a little bit.  I had spent weeks looking for the perfect dress, the perfect jeans, the perfect shoes, and poor Brendan was dragged to the mall several times to just watch me leave every store empty handed because nothing was “right.”  I think I might have honestly spent LESS time looking for my wedding dress.  I now know what it’s like to be in my clients’ shoes! :)

Choosing our wedding photographer was an enormous decision, and it was also the first one that we made.  The night we got engaged, I already knew that I wanted Sean to do our wedding.  I had followed his blog for a couple of years and had admired his consistent outpouring of gorgeous work, the way he captured moments, and his style.  We emailed him from St. Lucia to make sure he was available, which (praise GOD!) he was!

We travelled to Chicago to meet with Sean, since he was already in town for another wedding, and Brendan had a qualifier in South Bend, IN.  We truly enjoyed our engagement session because we felt like we could do our own thing and be ourselves.  We’re naturally pretty cuddly :)  Sean was fabulous and we are SO happy with the result!  We can’t wait to see what he does with our wedding in September!   Here is his blog post:  http://seanflanigan.net/?p=5564

After moving to waaaarm North Carolina, the cold weather of the north felt like quite a shock.  Not to mention that it was incredibly windy.  If you could see my legs close up, you would see a million goosebumps. ;)

100 days until I walk down the aisle, and I am crazy excited.
