Wow. What an incredible elopement to start 2015 right.
Stephanie and William hosted a few of their closest family and friends to witness their vows atop the Craggy Gardens Pinnacle, followed by an intimate reception at Laughing Seed Cafe in downtown Asheville. The views were stunning, but the 30º wind-chill made for an adventurous hike. It was totally worth it.
A few of my favorite memories:
// William telling me that when they chose their date, they didn’t realize it was Easter weekend. His mom had passed away on Good Friday a few years back, so it was meaningful to share the weekend with a new, happy memory.
// Steph’s dad seeing her for the first time. He had a proud look on his face, and Stephanie was in tears. He gave her a quick hug and kiss on the forehead. It was a sweet, quiet moment.
// Hiking up to the pinnacle with Stephanie draped in a borrowed coat, boots, and sleeping bag. It was a hilarious sight, I’m sure, to all the people we passed.
Sheesh! These are incredible, Megan. Some of my favorites. I love the shot of them sitting on that beautiful, enormous tree. So many good ones!
