I met B+T at Cayla + Thomas’ wedding last fall. I loved getting to know them better during their engagement session where we spent time in their first home and on the farm that had been in T’s family for many generations. They are truly the sweetest couple.
Cold weather and rain were forecasted for the wedding, but it ended up being a truly beautiful spring day. Here are a few of my favorite moments:
// As B and her dad walked down the aisle, the flowering trees shed their buds, and they sparkled in the sun as they fell with the wind. It was magical to watch nature embrace such a profound moment in their marriage.
// During the ceremony, the family passed along their wedding bands and prayed over them. I loved the sentiment and symbolism behind that moment.
// Right after B put her dress on, her mother turned to her and tearfully gave the advice to “be happy.” It was such a simple statement, but it was truly profound all the same.
// Both mothers were incredibly emotional all day. I had a difficult time keeping it together watching their faces! It was obvious how much they love their children and how much they care about their union. After B+T had exited the sparkler line and jumped in the getaway car, I saw T’s parents embrace and tear up a little bit. It was one of those quiet moments that I felt honored to witness.
// I had the pleasure of getting to know B+T at Cayla + Thomas’ wedding last fall, and it was so wonderful to see them on the dance floor again. There’s nothing I love more than getting to work with a family time and time again.
