Jorie and Brian live in NYC, but they hosted their wedding at The Merrimon-Wynne House in Jorie’s hometown of Raleigh, NC. They had one of the few sunny weekends this fall, and the light was stunning in the house with all of magnificent tall windows. Jorie rocked her beautiful Ivy & Aster gown, and I loved working with Erin McLean Events again. A few of my favorite moments:
// Jorie gave “verbal cards” to each of her bridesmaids before she put on her dress. It was such a sweet moment, and she had each of them in tears.
// Jorie + Brian wrote their own vows, and it was adorable to watch Brian tear up throughout the entire ceremony. I love when my couples make their ceremony personal and unique to their relationship.
// They didn’t have a videographer, so Brian outfitted a helmet with a GoPro camera. Genius! Guests rotated wearing it the entire day, and it was hilarious to turn around and see a new person wearing a huge football helmet every few minutes.
