We finally heard the rain on our roof this week, and I’m incredibly grateful. I hope it is a sign of more to come. For the past three months, we’ve been in a drought in Western NC, and the mountains have taken a beating. Our beautiful fall color was quickly swept away, and the fires have been burning for months. Even though we don’t see the flames, the smoke overwhelms the air, reminding us of its damage on a daily basis.
Tori and Cameron visited Asheville for their engagement photos early this fall, probably on the last truly wet day in the mountains. Thankfully, they didn’t mind the windy thunderstorm, and we had a wonderful time dancing around in the rain.
I just wanted to stop by and say that you work is absolutely beautiful! I am a photographer that just moved to the area and I happened upon your blog. So much REAL emotion! I love it!
