PHILADELPHIA REAL LIFE FAMILY SESSION

I’ve been photographing with this family since 2011, and every time I walk through their door, it feels familiar in the best way. The kids have grown, their personalities have deepened, but the heart of their home has stayed the same.

This session landed on St. Patrick’s Day, which meant a very important part of the morning: Lucky Charms. Bowls were poured generously, marshmallows picked out first, and breakfast stretched on a little longer than usual.

At some point, the energy shifted upstairs, where the bed turned into a full wrestling match. It was the kind that moves quickly between laughter, someone yelling “stop,” and then right back again. The siblings were in their most honest form.

Downstairs, the cat claimed its usual spot, stretched out in a patch of sunlight on the table, completely unbothered by everything else going on.

After all these years of photographing them, it’s less about any one moment and more about the rhythm of their life together. It’s about the way they interact and the way they move through a morning. It’s the small things that might not feel significant now but will be someday.
