Isabel + Andres emailed me two weeks before they were planning to elope. When we chatted more, they told me that they liked to plan spontaneous trips similar to this…hopping in the car and driving without a plan. Asheville was a meaningful place to their relationship, and they knew they didn’t want to have a traditional wedding. Isabel told me they were open to an adventure; they just wanted to make sure their dog could attend :)
They eloped in the woods at Black Balsam, and then we climbed the first bald with their sweet pup leading the way. These photos don’t show how cold it was on this day. It was sunny, yes, but the windchill must have been in the low-40s. I think a muddy hike in a red dress is always worth it, especially if you have a great story to tell and beautiful photos to show for it in the end.
