Erika + Matt have a background in outdoor education. For them, it was incredibly important to have nature be a part of their day. However, we all woke up to a rainy summer day, the type of rainforest-type weather we are used to in the mountains. Thankfully, the rain held off long enough for us to take a few photos around the grounds of the Grove Park Inn. I have to give major props to Wedding Connections for making this happen with a breeze.
Unfortunately, the rain decided to unleash a huge storm during the ceremony, which forced everyone inside. Matt + Erika took it in stride. After they were announced married, there was a beautiful moment where it both hit them at exactly the same time. They both were lost in each others arms, sobbing, and taking in what this day meant.
The band led an epic dance party, including the Horah (my favorite wedding tradition!). With the continued rainy weather, the guests gathered underneath the eaves to light sparklers and send the newlyweds off into the night.
