Every month or so I get the opportunity to freelance for The New York Times. Last week I photographed the Friendship 9 being cleared of charges from 1961, a truly historic event. It was an honor to meet the men that stood up for their rights and were wrongly put in prison for a peaceful protest, solely because of the color of their skin.
I also was asked to help with a national series on the changing views of divorce in the Catholic faith last fall.
