There is something special about weddings in Colorado, and I enjoy every visit we have in the Rockies. This trip was extra meaningful, as it was Kitt’s first airplane ride (he rocked it!), and we had the honor of celebrating Danielle + Ben’s wedding day in Estes Park. A few of my favorite moments:
// Danielle and Ben hosted a small wedding with only 40 or so of their closest family and friends. Most of their guests stayed at the same cabin, so it felt like one big family by the end of the week.
// Danielle’s grandmother walked into see her getting dressed and absolutely lost it. It was sweet to see her get so emotional about her first grandchild getting married.
// Danielle and Ben wrote their own vows, which were personal, sentimental, and comical at times. Ben cried more than Danielle the entire day, which was the sweetest. I also adored the fact that their family performed the ceremony, each taking turns to speak to the couple.
// This particular morning in Boulder was foggy and rainy. As soon as I drove over the mountain entering into Estes Park, there was a hole in the clouds where the sun rained through. The sun stayed through the ceremony and disappeared as soon as it was over. It seemed like it was meant to be around just for the two of them.
// Instead of using sparklers for their exit, their family and friends held them for their first dance. It was incredibly romantic as the lights swayed, and Danielle + Ben took it all in.
