CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS IN ASHEVILLE

This year, the Holmes-Robinson family celebrated Christmas in Asheville with a quiet kind of charm that was rooted in tradition, family, and a few favorite rituals that have grown more meaningful over time.

Their tree stood tall in the living room, decorated with vintage ornaments passed down through generations. Each one had a story—some a little worn, others still shining—adding a layer of history to their holiday.

In the kitchen, the counters were filled with the aftermath of a full day of baking. Dishes piled up as the family made homemade marshmallows and stirred hot cocoa on the stove.

Later, they pulled on coats and stepped outside into the brisk air. In the backyard, the family walked their labyrinth in silence. Each person carried a private wish and a question. Nothing formal, just a simple reflection before the year’s end.

They ended the evening on the couch, cuddled together watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The familiar scenes played on screen while everyone settled in, tired and content.
