Jacque and Paul have been friends since high school, but their romance didn’t begin until they planned a whirlwind trip around the world. They both took a year off of work and spent the time adventuring to countries far, far away from their home in Denver, Colorado. They chose one of the most beautiful places in Colorado to have their wedding celebration, The Club at Crested Butte. Crested Butte sits at 8885 feet above sea level with mountains surrounding in all directions. It took my breath away figuratively and literally. A few of my favorite moments:
// Their first look. Jacque walked up to Paul with her back to him. She closed her eyes and took in the moment before she turned around to see his face. I always enjoy anticipatory moments like those.
// Right before the ceremony, Jacque’s parents grabbed each of her hands and they stared silently out at the view from the porch. It was a quiet moment, but I loved the peacefulness and tangible symbol that they were supporting her to the next step of her life.
// Their vows. They were eloquent, personal, real and raw. I saw each bridesmaid shed a few tears.
// The views. Wow. Those mountain views.
