It was the official start of their lives together, and the day also marked the first of three weddings that they would be celebrating. Asheville is their home, so it suited them to elope in the mountains where they spend their weekends. After, they would travel to Germany and Sri Lanka to continue the festivities with their respective families.
Abhi and Peter wed beneath a beautiful intertwining of trees. They intentionally chose the spot because they weren’t sure if it was two trees or one–a beautiful symbol of marriage.
We hiked and ran around the grassy field on an early June day. The summer heat hadn’t yet reached the mountain air, and the breeze was glorious. After, they sat with their community of local friends and family enjoying a feast at Rhubarb. The space was beautifully decorated with candles, wildflowers, and ceramic bowls + planters that Abhi + Peter had crafted for their guests to take home.
Thanks to Bailey for helping me out with this day.
