Alexis and Alex’s Providence Cotton Mill wedding photos were straight out of a perfect fall day in Charlotte. The temperature was perfectly cool, which is not typical for an early October wedding in the south. After taking in the excitement from their first look, they celebrated with their wedding party and family until the rest of the guests started to arrive.
Her grandfather joked during the ceremony that Alexis grew up as “Alex,” so when Alex joined the scene they had to come up with another nickname to be able to differentiate between the two of them. It has become a sort of family tradition to have her grandfather officiate, as he also presided over her sister’s wedding almost a decade ago. Her toddler niece ran around during the ceremony, almost stealing everyone’s attention away from the couple. But, it didn’t matter. Alex beamed at his bride, and she shared in the glow and momentum of the moment.
Guests enjoyed the pleasant fall day with cocktails on the patio. As the air turned cool, the party warmed up with a lively dance party until the sparkler exit signaled the end of the festivities.
