MATERNITY AT MAX PATCH

I can’t believe this little babe will be here in a little over a month! There were months in pregnancy that flew by and other days that seemed like I would be pregnant forever. We prayed a lot over this time in our lives, and I’m so grateful to the LORD that I’ve had a relatively easy pregnancy so far. I’m at the fun, uncomfortable third trimester (34 weeks to be exact), but I also love feeling the baby move significantly more in this season.

In birth class we learned that babies remember books and songs that they’ve heard in the womb. We were encouraged to read a book or sing a song daily to foster our relationship and generate a comfortable sound when he/she is out in the world. Singing to this baby with Brendan every night is one of my favorite routines.

Since I’m caught up with editing and mostly wrapped up with work for 2016, I’ve been in hyper nesting mode. We spent all week working on the nursery and finishing up rooms in our house. Our to-do list is never ending, but I know we’re rapidly approaching a season of simplicity. I’m a busybody at heart, yet I’m looking forward to the next few months of snuggling with this baby before wedding season begins again.

Super special thanks to our dear friend, Elizabeth, with Almond Leaf Studios for capturing these.
