Kevin carried Jenna over the threshold when they returned from their honeymoon and spent the first night in this house. It was where they brought their first son home from the hospital, among many other milestones. They transformed the 1940s house into beautifully decorated mid-century modern home. It was a place that always smelled like dessert because Jenna baked weekly for their neighbors and others that needed to be cheered up. The walls contained lots of laughter: hosting out-of-town guests and dinner parties, listening to records, decorating Christmas trees, raising a baby.
When Kevin’s job required a moved to Nashville, it was a sad day. The end of an extraordinary era.
We spent a hot summer day celebrating one of the last days in this house that had become a home.
