After being in the wedding industry for 17 years, I've found that no two elopements are exactly alike. Some couples only need two hours of coverage, and others want multi-day event coverage. Ultimately, it comes down to planning a day (or multiple days) around the experience that you envision. I truly believe your wedding day should not revolve around photography. Rather, it is my job to help you design the experience that you want to have and help you stay present throughout. The best photos happen when you are living in the moment.

For this reason, all of my offerings are custom-quoted and individually tailored to your needs and wishes.

I don’t want to make images that are forgettable. I want to make the ones you cannot live without.

A LA CARTE

You’ve invested in an incredible part of your legacy. I believe that these photographs are something to be cherished and seen. There will come a day when this version of technology will be obsolete . To preserve this part of your family history, it is important to print your photos.

There are several ways to artfully display your images. Some couples choose large canvases for their home. Others prefer an album as a meaningful way to capture the many moments and story of the wedding day. Loose prints in a wooden box make a lovely heirloom all the same.

These images were not meant to live on your computer

Albums are mounted on thick paper for durability.

Albums are custom-designed and lay flat without a gutter.

Books are designed one image per page in chronological order.

The image is either printed full bleed (to the edges of the page) or full image, depending on the composition of the photograph.

Books and albums can be imprinted with wedding logo, names, date, location, or anything else you like!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have backup gear?

Absolutely. I always work with two camera bodies, and both cameras record to two memory cards. So, there are two backups naturally occurring while I’m photographing. But, if either of those fail, I always bring additional camera bodies and lenses.

Do you backup our images?

Yes! I’m a little neurotic about making sure all images are backed up in at least three places until they are delivered to you. After delivery, the images are archived online and on a hard drive.

What is your turnaround time?

I guarantee six to eight weeks in my contract, but my average is two to four weeks.

Do we get rights to the photos?

All offerings include printing privileges and high-resolution files. This means that you can pretty much do whatever you want with the images for personal use (print, make copies, post on social media), except sell and professionally publish them.

How many weddings have you photographed?

I’ve been a wedding photographer for 17 years and have photographed over 350 weddings in my career.

Do you travel?

Enthusiastically yes! Typically, about half of my weddings each season are destination events. I’ve photographed couples in Greece, Mexico, Anguilla, St. Lucia, Italy, Switzerland, and all over the U.S.

How much do you charge for travel?

There is no travel fee within 100 miles of Asheville, NC, and sometimes I will waive fees for weddings in the Southeast or in Michigan. For other out-of-state or international weddings, I custom quote based on airfare, ground transportation, and lodging.

How many photos do you deliver?

I usually deliver about 100 images/hour of coverage.

What if it storms on our elopement day?

I've photographed many, many elopements in the rain, and it's a beautiful part of the experience! If the weather is looking truly treacherous, and there is flexibility with everyone involved, we can adjust the start time of coverage and the location/venue. I'm always proactive about weather and will connect a week in advance if there is serious weather expected so that we have time to problem-solve.
